THE GITES
Charming & Comfortable
Our four gites are arranged around a private courtyard retaining the charm of the original Perigord farm. Each gite has its own outdoor space along with a communal covered eating area with barbeque. Our private meadow beyond the pool runs down to a stream for those who want to let off steam or do some nature watching. The dark night skies are a treat for star-gazers too.
Au Coin Des Arbres is a no smoking site.

Au Coin Des Arbres is set in 4 acres of meadows and woodland and offers something for everyone. Set some distance along a no-through road we have very little passing traffic and so peace and tranquillity surrounds us in every direction.
Around the courtyard you will find a communal covered dining space with barbecue. Beyond there is a landscaped area leading to the 13mx7m pool with solar shower, sunbathing terrace, covered dining and relaxing area. Beyond the meadow leads into the woodland and offers a tranquil space or an opportunity to watch the local nature.
Many paths suitable for walking and cycling start from Au Coin Des Arbres. The castle and village of Biron is only 2km away along footpaths through the woods. The chateau is classed as a Major Site of Aquitaine and a Historic Monument. As well as paying a visit to the castle you can pick up provisions at the épicerie or have a drink or meal at the bistro.
We have many books and maps detailing walks in the surrounding area. For anyone interested in the natural world we recommend getting a copy of the Crossbill Dordogne guide before you come. This excellent book will show you the best places to find different flora and fauna. You will be amazed by the variety of landscapes and habitats within easy reach of Au Coin Des Arbres.
